Samsung Pay is a secure and easy-to-use mobile payment service which can be used to make purchases almost anywhere. Leveraging a new proprietary technology called Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC), Samsung Pay makes mobile payment more accessible to both merchants and customers.
If you conduct foreign currency transactions, the Bank will charge a handling fee of 1.95% based on the applicable exchange rate on processing date for each transaction. You can check the exchange rate through VISA and Mastercard website.
If you choose to settle foreign currency transactions in Hong Kong dollars made with merchants outside Hong Kong, or online merchants whose place of registration and/or settlement are outside Hong Kong, VISA / Mastercard / American Express impose a charge of 1% of the transaction amount on the Bank. The Bank will therefore charge the same for the customers (except for DBS Live Fresh Card) effective from 4 January 2024.
If your Credit Card Autopay gets rejected, please settle your credit card outstanding balance as soon as possible before the due date via other payment methods to prevent additional charges.
Once your AAVS application is approved, you will receive an activation letter by mail. You may choose to activate your service via MTR Customer Service, “Octopus” App or Octopus PC Reader.
Starting from 1 October 2018, DBS Visa Card and supplementary card (if any) with Visa payWave function will be sent to our credit card customers upon card renewal or replacement.
Starting from 12 September 2019, DBS Black American Express Card and supplementary card (if any) will come with contactless payment function upon renewal or replacement.
