Things you should know before credit card replacement

You may need to inform related merchants to update the payment instruction after you activated your new replacement card.

You may apply for credit card replacement for different reasons:

Damage/Expired credit card

You will get a replacement credit card with the same credit card no. as your original credit card, please note:

  • We will send you a new card by mail.

  • You can click here to activate your credit card.

  • The account balance will transfer to the new card automatically.

  • The AAVS (Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service) and merchant direct debit instruction will automatically be transferred to the new card account number for debiting.


Lost Stolen/Did Not Receive New credit card

You will get a replacement credit card with the different credit card no. from your original credit card, please note:

  • We will send you a new card by mail or arrange for you to collect it at our branch.

  • A new ATM pin will be generated to you after credit card activation. (click here to activate your credit card)

  • The account balance will transfer to the new card automatically.

  • The AAVS (Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service) will automatically be transferred to the new card account number for debiting.

  • If you have any merchant direct debit transaction made by this credit card, please contact merchant directly to update payment instruction.

Note:

  • You can pay back your credit card through original credit card number until you receive the new replacement credit card.

  • If principal credit cardholder applied credit card replacement, supplementary cardholder can still use his/her credit card in normal.

To borrow or not to borrow? Borrow only if you can repay !
