    E.g. Assume COF for 1-month HKD loan on loan drawdown date is 1.1% p.a. and Margin is 1.2% p.a., the interest cost for the loan is 2.3% p.a.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is implementing Severe Weather* Trading (SWT) in securities and derivatives markets starting from 23 September 2024.

Please note that:
i) Customer should rectify the collateral shortfall on or before the deadline shown on the Top-up on Banking Facility letter /Margin Call letter regardless of whether the date of deadline is on a day with Severe Weather*; and
ii) If customer fails to rectify the collateral shortfall, the Bank could exercise the right of sell off for securities listed on HKEX on a day under Severe Weather Trading or any business day thereafter as soon as practicable.

*“Severe Weather” refers to a scenario where Black Rainstorm Warning/ Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory or an “extreme conditions” announcement is made by the HKSAR government.
