PayFast is an electronic fund transfer service supported by Faster Payment System (FPS) that allows you to pay instantly* to any local recipients’ mobile number or email address, and does not require additional authentication. Daily transfer limit is up to HK$10,000.
* The exact timing of crediting funds to recipient's account will be subject to the operation of recipient bank.

- Inform sender of your registered mobile number or email address
- Inform sender to send funds to your registered mobile number or email address using transfer function, supported by FPS, on his/her bank's internet banking or mobile banking platform
Via DBS iBanking:
- Login DBS iBanking
- Select "Transfers ", then select "PayFast"
- Enter recipient and transfer details
- Verify details and submit
Via DBS digibank HK app:
- Login DBS digibank HK
- Select "PayFast" under Pay & Transfer
- Enter recipient and transfer details
- Verify details and submit
When you transfer funds via PayFast, you will enter the recipient mobile number or email address and click "Verify" in DBS iBanking or “Next” in DBS digibank HK to perform a lookup. Doing so will display the recipient's partial name. You can verify he/she is indeed the right person

Deregister your old mobile number (or email address) by going to "Transfer Settings" via DBS iBanking, or “FPS Settings” via DBS digibank HK;
Update your new mobile number or email address with the Bank via DBS iBanking;
When your new mobile number or email address is effective (you will be notified by SMS), you can then register again via DBS iBanking or DBS digibank HK.

You can register your mobile number or email address via DBS iBanking, DBS digibank HK. During registration, you will be asked to select the DBS account that you want to link to your mobile number or email address. Once you registered, your designated DBS account will be your default account for receiving funds.
Only your partial name will be showed on the sender's bank internet or mobile banking platform for transaction verification.

If you have lost your mobile phone, please call (852) 2290 8888 or visit any of our branches as soon as possible.
If your existing mobile number is registered for FPS Addressing Service, please unregister it via Transfer > Transfer Settings (for DBS iBanking) or Pay & Transfer > PayFast > FPS Settings (for DBS digibank HK) before you update your new mobile number. You can register FPS with your new mobile number once it becomes effective.

If you have already registered for FPS service with your HKID card number in another bank, you have to deregister first in order to register for FPS service with your HKID card number with us.

All single-name accounts and joint-name accounts (excluding joint-accounts with all-to-sign instruction) of DBS Current and Savings accounts are eligible to be linked to mobile number or email address to receive funds transfers.
Yes, each joint account holder can choose to link his/her own mobile number or email address associated with his/her DBS iBanking profile to the same joint account (excluding joint-accounts with all-to-sign instruction).
Once you close your bank account, all mobile number or email address linked to that account will automatically be de-registered, and you will be notified accordingly via SMS or email.

How can I transfer foreign currency(except HKD and CNY) to account in other local banks?
For security reasons, the recipient account name of payee needs to be verified in an FPS transaction. Please check if the recipient account name of your registered payee matches with the payee bank's record. If they do not match, the FPS transaction will be rejected.
The recipient account name of a registered payee cannot be changed. You have to delete the payee and register again.

To transfer foreign currency to other local bank accounts, please go to Transfer > DBS Remit and Overseas Transfer in DBS iBanking or Pay & Transfer > Overseas Transfer in DBS digibank HK and select “Hong Kong” as your destination.

Scan & Pay is our mobile payment feature powered by Faster Payment System (FPS)*. Simply use DBS digibank HK to scan the FPS QR code provided by a merchant or payee and you can checkout, pay bills or transfer funds faster.
* Scan & Pay service is supported by Faster Payment System which is provided and operated by Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.
You can use it to make purchases right at the merchants who accept FPS QR code for payment, or to pay utility or merchant bills with the FPS QR code printed on the bill statements, or to transfer funds to payees with the FPS QR code provided by them.
Generally, there should be an FPS logo within/beside the QR code supporting the FPS service. If you are not sure whether the QR code supports FPS service, please check with the payee/merchant.

How to activate the transfer limit?
A daily limit up to HK$10,000 is shared between PayFast and Scan & Pay. You can set your preferred limit within HK$10,000 via DBS iBanking. If the payment amount exceeds your remaining daily transfer limit for Scan & Pay, we will debit the whole transaction amount from your daily transfer limit for “non-registered payee” to complete the Scan & Pay transfer, and it requires authentication with your Digital Token or Secure Device.
How to set up transfer limit via DBS iBanking?
Please check with the merchant/payee who provided the FPS QR code if the QR code supports the FPS service.
Scan & Pay transactions are authenticated with your login credentials at DBS digibank HK or biometric information. Upon completion of the transaction, you will also receive confirmation via SMS and email.
