As of 31 August 2024, the HKD Basic Savings Interest Rate for $200,000 -< $1,000,000 is 0.525%p.a. and $1,000,000 - < $5,000,000 is 0.575%p.a. and $5,000,000 or above is 0.75%. USD Basic Savings Interest Rate is 0.001%p.a.
Hence, including Eligible New Funds, the HKD Total Savings Interest Rate is 3.575% (3.05%+0.525%) for MCY Account HKD Balance $200,000 -< $1,000,000, and the HKD Total Savings Interest Rate is 3.625% (3.05%+0.575%) for MCY Account HKD Balance $1,000,000 - < $5,000,000, and the HKD Total Savings Interest Rate is 3.8% (3.05%+0.75%) for MCY Account HKD Balance $5,000,000 or above. The USD Total Savings Interest Rate is 4.6% (4.599%+0.001%) for MCY Account USD Balance $25,000 or above.
