Notice of Amendment to DBS Terms and Conditions


With effect from 9 November 2022 (the “Effective Date”), the “Bank Accounts and Services Terms and Conditions” (the “Terms and Conditions”) will be amended. Major amendments are highlighted as follows:
B. General Terms and Conditions
1(a) Definition of “Remote Instructions” will be revised to include instructions given by “electronic platforms”.
1(a) Definition of “Sign” will be revised to include signing by “electronic means”.
14.1(a) Added “electronic platforms or other electronic means” as one of the channels where the Bank receives instructions given by customers.
25.1(a) Added “communication by electronic means” from customers as one of the ways where the Bank records or retains documents.
27.1 Added “electronic platforms or other electronic means” as one of the ways where any notice or communications maybe given to customers by the Bank.
43.1(b) Added instructions given by “electronic means” as one of the means whereby customers can execute instructions.
A copy of the Terms and Conditions can be downloaded at our website www.dbs.com.hk, or can be obtained at any of our branches.

Please note that your retention and/or continuous use of your DBS bank accounts and services on or after the Effective Date shall constitute your agreement and acceptance of the amendments and the amendments shall be binding on you. If you do not accept the above amendments, please close your accounts and services before the Effective Date in accordance with your right of closure provided in the Terms and Conditions.
