Open Time Deposit

You can set up a time deposit under "Open" > "Time Deposit Placement" via DBS iBanking. An account number will be assigned for each time deposit.

To check if any online time deposit offer is available, you can click "Find Out More" and obtain a promotion code. For more details about a particular offer, including eligible currencies, tenors and funds requirement, you can click "View Offers" after entering the relevant promotion code.

  • Your time deposit will be renewed automatically if no further maturity instruction is received.
  • Your time deposit will be linked to your iBanking profile automatically. You can verify the transaction through your iBanking Transaction History.
  • For all time deposit placed online (irrespective of the placement date) and have a valid email address with the Bank, email advice will be sent to you. If placed at branch, you will receive paper advice.

Notes:

  1. Withdrawal or payment of the time deposit is restricted to crediting your bank account of the same title upon maturity.
  2. Early withdrawal of a time deposit is subject to approval of the Bank and payment of interest and other charges as determined by the Bank at its discretion.

Time Deposit Maturity Instruction Change

You can change the maturity instruction of your time deposit at "Open" > "Time Deposit Placement" > "Manage Time Deposit Maturity Instructions"

Notes:

  1. To change any maturity instruction via iBanking, you should submit an instruction to that effect at least 1 business day before the maturity date. To change the maturity instruction on the maturity date, please visit any of our branches.

Open Wealth Management Account

If you are a DBS iBanking customer and a DBS Treasures account without a wealth management account, you can submit an application for the opening of a wealth management account through DBS iBanking.

The steps for opening a wealth management account online:

  1. Fill in the applicant’s details
  2. Read and confirm the applicable Terms and Conditions

  3. Submit the application

Once your application is successfully submitted, the account (if the application is approved and all supporting documents (if any) are received) will be effective within 4-6 business days after the application day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).
